Burak Unlu

Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins, class of 2029. I write firmware and the apps that talk to it.

Since December I've been the software and firmware intern at pebl health, a Baltimore startup building a handheld clinical assessment device. Since March I've also been a contractor at BioSoftPro, where I rebuilt their EEG neurofeedback app from Unity to React Native on my own. Before that I built Mirra, a listing tool a paying client runs their store on, and co-built MentorTracker, an app hundreds of students use.

Looking for a Summer 2027 software or embedded engineering internship.

Experience

BioSoftPro LLC

Software Engineering Contractor

Mar 2026 – present · Elkridge, MD

  • Rebuilt a production EEG-neurofeedback mobile app from Unity and C# to React Native and Expo, solo: about 16 screens, 4 real-time feedback games, and the product's first iOS build.
  • Built a differential-testing CI gate that proves the hand-ported TypeScript signal pipeline matches the closed-source reference, and fails the build within hours if the upstream math changes.

Let's build something.

Open to Summer 2027 software and embedded engineering internships. If you are building something people use, I want to hear about it.
