LeadUp
Volunteering platform for student chapters: events, approved hour logs, leaderboards.
Solo build · 2026 – present · Live
Next.js · TypeScript · Tailwind · Supabase · Postgres RLS · pgTAP
Live at leadup.burakali.com since July 2026, with real users
LeadUp keeps a student chapter's volunteering straight. Members RSVP to events, log service hours with a description, and see a leaderboard ranked by hours an admin has actually approved. Organizers get a console for approvals, events, schools and regions, and exportable reports. I built it for the nonprofit where I sit on the board, and it has been in production since July 2026.
Highlights
- One-click event RSVP, with attendance verified at the event itself.
- Hour logging that only counts toward a leaderboard once an admin approves it.
- Row-level security on every user-owned table, with migrations tested in pgTAP.
- Installable as a PWA, with an offline shell for the event list.
- CI gates a merge on 301 unit tests, 24 pgTAP suites, and a migration rehearsal.
- A pre-launch authorization review caught real defects in the new admin endpoints before they shipped.
